My name is
James Cameron
I am an independent advisor, advocate and social entrepreneur.
My work is centred on tackling the climate change issue and its impact on humanity and the natural world.
I am interested in the space between law, policy, finance and technology. From my long experience, I want to make better connections between ideas, people, disciplines and sources of power; and to offer help and encouragement to those that have solutions to the most pressing problems of our time.
I am a Barrister and have taught and practiced law. I act as an advocate in its broadest sense; finding the right words to champion ideas on behalf of people and enterprises to challenge those in power to bring about change.
Confronting abuse of power is just as important as channelling resources and increasing the flow of investment into a more resilient and sustainable economy.
There is range and diversity in what I do, who I work with and how I work. I like it that way. I am curious, I see patterns emerging sometimes before the trend and I can represent an idea, a person, or an enterprise with conviction.
Unlike my namesake, I am not a Hollywood Director, but I am working with some amazing organisations that are leading a better future.
The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, is the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference. I am serving as a ‘Friend of COP’.
